A little about me
I am a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida International University (FIU), USA. I hold a Master’s degree in Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan. I received the Presidential Scholarship and the Excellent Master’s Degree Thesis Award for my graduate research.
My work focuses on the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to analyze flow behavior in both river and ocean engineering. I have studied flow–structure interactions, including the design and analysis of spur dikes with enhanced hydraulic performance through permeability, vegetation integration, and structural modification. I also develop and validate a fully coupled CFD model of a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) using OpenFOAM to investigate aero-hydro-mooring dynamics under combined wave and wind conditions. I have authored several peer-reviewed publications, and my research contributes to the advancement of hydraulic structure design and offshore renewable energy development.
