WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The overarching goals of the PATHS-UP workforce development plan is to increase STEM literacy, recruit and educate a diverse group of students across the P-20 pipeline, and provide professional development for pre-college teachers in urban and rural underserved schools.
FIU is hosting an RET program for high school teachers from our underserved communities to learn about PATHS-UP and develop research-inspired lesson and activity plans. In collaboration with our RET participants, our program is developing PATHS-UP modules that will be used by our PATHS-UP labs to supplement our flagship educational outreach programs: Engineering Expo and Engineers on Wheels.
