Shelly R. Snyder

Shelly R. Snyder is Director of Communications for the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) in Washington, DC. Ms. Snyder is an industry spokesperson and educator, working with both the news media and the aviation community on a daily basis to promote aviation education. As an Executive Board Member of Women In Aviation, International (WAI), Ms. Snyder has promoted aviation in the classroom at the WAI Conferences, National Congress, and other various conferences for the past eight years. She also serves as a Board Member of the University Aviation Association (UAA), the Aero Club of Washington, and is a founding member and Past Chairwoman of NCAE. She has been a general aviation pilot for over nine years and has a bachelor's degree in Commercial Aviation Management from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Winner of the 1997 Dr. Mervin K. Strickler, Jr. Aviation Education Leadership Award.
