Manager Member Relations Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association |
Janette M. Prince is the manager of Member Relations for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) in Frederick, Maryland. During Ms. Prince's seven years at AOPA, she has devoted most of her energy to educational programs. She developed and implemented AOPA's Apple (America's Pilots Participating in Local Education) program. This program encourages its participants to teach students, in their classrooms, about aviation and to serve as aviation mentors to teachers. Under Ms. Prince's direction, free materials are provided by AOPA to pilots and teachers to assist in the promotion of aviation education. Ms. Prince is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott with a B.S. in Aviation Business Administration. In 1996, she earned an MBA in Management from Frostburg State University in Maryland. Ms. Prince is also a founding member of the National Coalition for Aviation Education.
Winner of the 1997 Dr. Mervin K. Strickler, Jr. Aviation Education Leadership Award.
From Civil Air Patrol's 1997 National Congress On Aviation And Space Education (NCASE) Conference Program.
