Z-Transform
Takes a discrete-time sample sequence to a new domain, the "Z-domain", where difference equations can be expressed as algebraic equations on the z variable.

In many practical cases: 0 =< k =< N-1
Digital Transfer Functions:
- Some of the b coefficients may be 0. The order of the numerator is smaller or equal to the order of the denominator.
