The Lab was established in January 2006 in response to the needs for research and education of next-generation engineers and citizens of Florida who will be engaged in environment-conscious design and utilization of sustainable building system technology. Activities in the Lab includes:
- Building energy auditing
- Testing of energy efficient mechanical equipment such as heat exchangers
- Alternative energy utilization
- Assessment
of effects of green building practice on the economic aspects of
construction
