Professor Damodaran’s expertise is in the area of large-scale optimization, logistics, simulation, and electronics manufacturing. He has developed a number of mixed-integer models to address interesting problems in the areas of new product development, batch processing, VLSI physical design, PCB assembly, etc. He has devised branch & price approaches for both deterministic and stochastic mixed-integer models. Many of his recent initiatives in the area of electronics manufacturing is geared towards eliminating lead from electronics assembly.
