As part of the elaboration of this project FIU graduate students have been getting in touch with some of the companies that are currently working directly with the planning, implementation and launching of different configurations and capacities of solar systems. The very first company to become part of the technical support of the project is Sun Electronics .
They carry solar panels by brand names such as Kyocera, Rec, Evergreen Solar, Sanyo and Solarworld to name a few, in sizes from 17 watts to 225 watts. In addition they carry SUN modules, which are made exclusively for Sun Electronics by one of the world's largest manufacturers. SUN solar panels have identical power specifications and output tolerances as "A" grade modules.
Accordingly with the technical support of the company is necessary to collect important information about the Power Park project referred to landfills area, location, shape, slopes, and the type of solar panel to be implemented. Also they explain the basics of the components of the solar system.

The main objective of the meeting was to show the scope of the Power Park's project. By which graduate students carried out a presentation of the main contents of the project. accordingly with the Sun Electronics engineers the scope of the project is very interesting and they are open to help out the project in the solar technology matters.
