PRINCIPAL ENGINEER:  SV Microwave/Amphenol Research & Development Department, Jan. 2002 to July 2007.  Dr. Georgakopoulos was responsible for design and development of:

·         Novel passive and active RF/microwave components, such as, interconnects, power dividers, phase shifters, mixers, and vector modulators

·         High performance and reliability components for interfaces, such as, SMA, type-N, TNC, 7 mm, 3.5 mm, 2.92 mm, 2.4 mm and 1.85 mm

·         Thin-film high frequency circuits operating up to 70 GHz

·         Precision calibration standards

·         High power microwave components

·         High-reliability surface-mount chips for airborne and space applications

·         Complex microwave test fixtures for measuring various components, such as, surface mount chips, and leaded devices
