FORGING THE WAY TO A BETTER TOMORROW

Florida International University has assembled a world-class team of researchers with exceptional expertise and research experience in its quest to create a program of national and international recognition.

Together the researchers hold more than 80 patent applications, of which more than 20 have been granted in the last two years alone. Additionally, they have filed for more than 100 patent disclosures and have published more than 200 refereed papers in nanotechnology.

Their specializations are in the areas of high-density information storage, CNT-based devices and technology, nanophotonics, nano-electronics and NEMS, nanoparticles synthesis and characterization, bio/nanomaterials for drug delivery, modeling and characterization.

Many of FIU’s researchers have acquired substantial experience with industry giants such as IBM Research, Samsung Corporation, Seagate Research, Cordis-Johnson & Johnson and the Cornell Nanoscale Facility.

FIU’s multidisciplinary team includes experts in molecular physics, chemistry, biology, materials, electronic devices, biomedical sciences, nanofabrication and modeling and simulation.
