Three-player teams pool their specialties and interests as they submit their answers to a variety of subjects in three preliminary rounds. Teams try to be the first to ring the buzzer and correctly answer questions. The team with the fewest points at the end of each round is eliminated. For the final and fourth round, one representative from each of the top 3 teams will compete for each question. No individual may compete in two consecutive questions. The outcome of this final round will determine the winners of the competition!
Team requirements: Your team must compete representing a single, specific engineering department. However, the team members need not all belong to the same department. In short, you can team up with whoever you want that is an FIU engineering student, but you must choose the department that will get “points” if your team wins. At the end of Engineering Week, the department with the most points in the overall tally of activities during the week (including the Brain Bowl, the Egg Drop Competition, the Murder Mystery, and others) will get a commemorative trophy.
There will also be a first, second & third place prize for the members of the top 3 teams in the Brain Bowl.
