OBJECTIVES: To introduce to instrumentation and measurement for engineering systems, which include sensors and measurement transducers, signal amplifiers and filters, and data acquisition hardware and software. To practice in experimental data analysis and technical report preparation.

2. Temperature Measurement: Static Calibration and Dynamic Behavior of Thermocouples.
3. Force Measurement: Strain Gage and Wheatstone Bridge Circuits
4. Data Acquisition: Signal Sampling and Coupling, Experimental Data Analysis
5. Conditioning: Passive Filter Circuits
6. Amplification: Operational Amplifier Circuits

GRADING POLICY:
Lab Reports: 75%, All lab reports have to be submitted in both printed copy and electronic copy on time. Late reports will have 20% per day penalty. The electronic copies have to email to: fiummelabs@gmail.com, with a file mane: EML3301L_Experiment#_Team#.
Final Exam: 25%, A final exam will be given in the class at the end of the semester, open books and notes. Makeup exam will be given only under extremely unusual circumstances. A written request for a makeup exam must be provided.
Grade: A = 95.0 – 100 C+ = 76.7 – 79.9
A- = 90.0 – 94.9 C = 70.0 – 76.6
B+ = 86.7 – 89.9 D = 60.0 – 69.9
B = 83.3 – 86.6 F = below 60.0
B- = 80.0 – 83.2
