Supplemental Assignment for Credit (Exam 1)

Welcome to EIN 3390 Manufacturing Processes for Summer A 2018.  Here are the materials you will need for the class.  This course involves understanding concepts, processes, definitions, key terms and applications in manufacturing.  There are not a lot of computations.  The key to succeed in this course is to read and study the textbook along with the slides.  The video links will also help a lot in understanding each process.  There is plenty of material to read and cover.  If you keep up with the reading you will not have to cram prior to the exams!  Another good tip to study is to know the definitions of the key terms and the Review Questions at the end of each Chapter.   Good luck and enjoy the class.

Course Syllabus

How to Study:

I recommend you read every chapter at least twice.  First, using the slides, highlight the areas in the book that we covered in class with the slides.  The slides summarize the most important aspects of the material presented in the book.  Then read the book again, the areas you highlighted. Then view the videos related to the process you just studied to reinforce.  Make sure you go over the key terms and review questions.  You should be able to describe the processes we covered in detail, give examples of parts that make sense to be produced with a specific process, or if given a product example, what process would you select to make the product and be able to explain why.
